The release of The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017) – a film which tells the story of how Charles Dickens penned A Christmas Carol in 1843 – has reignited the popular myth that the Victorians ‘created’ the festive season.

The “Diseases of Modern Life” team wishes all its readers and colleagues a very happy Christmas and a healthy and successful New Year.

I’m sure the old platitude that ‘Christmas comes earlier every year’ is true.
