Dr Emilie Taylor-Brown to join the team

The Diseases of Modern Life project is very pleased to announce that Dr Emilie Taylor-Brown will be joining the team on Monday 24th October.

Dr Taylor-Brown was awarded her PhD from the University of Warwick in 2016 and subsequently joined the Institute of Advanced Study at Warwick on an Early Career Fellowship. She holds a BSc in Biology and English with First Class honours, and an interdisciplinary Masters by research (MRes) with Distinction from Keele University.

Dr Taylor-Brown will be working on a project investigating changing ideas about gastrointestinal health throughout the nineteenth century. She is particularly interested in the connections being drawn between digestive health and emotional wellbeing, and how these connections were negotiated in the literary imagination.
